The fact that Geneva police officers do not have any identifying marks on their riot equipment is a threat to human rights and the right to protest - say organisations, including Amnesty International.
The issue is being highlighted after a politician was attacked by an officer during a demonstration two years ago. The complaint has now been dropped as there’s no way to identify the officer involved.
Anita Goh, from Amnesty, says the fact that police officers are unidentifiable while in riot kit impedes the right to protest.
