Be careful of a job offer that seems too good to be true.
The National Cyber Security Council has issued a warning about supposedly real recruitment firms sending out messages on social media offering work which pays exceptionally well and comes with many benefits, such as being able to work from home.
Many of the messages seem to come from reputable firms, but the logos and images have been ripped from the internet.
The jobs offered include writing review for products and testing online applications.
The scam is an established phishing exercise. The scammers hope to secure bank details which could be used for money laundering or data theft.
The advice is to ignore the message and block the sender.
