Many schools in Geneva will be allowing student to leave early today as classroom temperatures are set to soar again.
But unions say the guidance from the canton came far too late and there’s a lack of a heatwave plan.
They point out the heatwave was predicted by forecasters well before the extreme temperatures hit.
The Union of Secondary Teachers, and others, are calling on the Education Department to learn from this and provide better information which is more than just make sure students drink enough fluids.
