Switzerland had a good winter season – even better than last year.
The Swiss Tourist Office says it was helped by an early snowfall which could be built on for the next few months.
Although some of the lower resorts struggled with the snow at times – especially at the end of February – it was made up by the busier higher resorts and more non-ski activities on the lower ground.
The office added that there were more tourists from the United States – especially younger skiers – which was unexpected.
