Stay home tomorrow

Tomorrow will be a difficult day in Geneva as the city will be hit by strikes.

Public service workers as well as many tram and bus drivers will be taking to the streets to demand better pay and conditions.

The TPG recommends working from home if possible. Parents should check with the school to see if classes will be disrupted as many teachers – although not all – will be on strike also.

The public transport company says it cannot guarantee a full service – although the Léman Express will be unaffected.

Unions are also planning a march through the city tomorrow afternoon – a route likely to take strikers over the Mont-Blanc Bridge at a time that would normally be afternoon rush hour.
