The public broadcaster, SSR, says if the licence fee is cut to CHF 200 from the current CHF 335, it will lead to hundreds of job losses.
The SSR says the cut will have a major impact on the number of services it will be able to provide and 900 will lose their jobs across the country.
The proposed cut is being discussed by the government, which will make a decision by February next year.
