Servette Football Club have been heavily punished by the European football association, UEFA.

The charges date back to a fixture in August when fireworks were set off in the stands and players had objects thrown at them.

The club will have to pay a EUR 35,000 fine for the fireworks and a further 8,000 for objects being thrown.

In addition, the section of the stadium normally used by the so-called Ultra-fans has to be closed for the next European match.

Servette Football club has implored fans in the past not to use fireworks or smoke bombs
