Swiss Post will stop delivering parcels to the United States starting Tuesday.
The move follows a decision by the Trump administration to scrap the tax exemption on small parcels worth 800 dollars or less.
From August 29, every shipment entering the U.S. must go through customs clearance, regardless of its value.
Originally aimed at curbing massive shipments from Chinese e-commerce firms, the measure has now been extended to all countries.
European parcels will face a 15 percent tariff, while Swiss goods will be hit with a steep 39 percent.
With new customs rules still unclear, Swiss Post, like Germany, Spain, Austria and Belgium, has suspended shipments.
