More drug related violence in Geneva

A gunman has opened fire in broad daylight in the Perrier neighbourhood of Annemasse, just across the border from Geneva

Sunday afternoon's shooting was followed by more gunfire at Ville-la-Grand and at a drug-dealing spot in Gaillard, before police caught up with the suspect after a car chase.

It's a fresh escalation of the drug-related violence that has shaken the Annemasse basin for a month, with repeated shootings at dealing points.

Mayor Gabriel Doublet is again calling on the French state to reinforce local policing.
