Rescuers could only find the body of a man in Lake Geneva after a worried woman raised the alarm on Monday afternoon.
Police launched a search with divers and a helicopter off the Nyon shore – the body was found around an hour later.
Police say the man was a 58-year-old French national, living in France.
An investigation is now underway.
