Donut chain seems to close without comment

The dumbfounding case of disappearing Dunkin Donuts.

Seemingly without comment from the company – Dunkin Donuts branches have been closing around the country.

Stores in Winterthur, Lausanne, Fribourg and Baden have all been closed since the beginning of the week.

A few weeks ago, the outlets at the Schaffhausen and Oerlikon train stations closed, again without comment.

It was only last year the company running the Swiss branches of the US chain were bullish - saying they were set on massive expansion around the country.

Dunkin Donuts opened its first shop in Switzerland in 2016.
