Investigations are underway after an 18-year-old woman died at the Sécheron train station in Geneva in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A male friend was seriously injured.
Police say it appears the couple decided to break through a fence and climb onto the roof of a parked train. The woman touched an overhead power cable with her head – the current also passed through her friend.
She was declared dead at the scene – her friend was taken to the specialized burns unit at the University Hospital in Lausanne.
