Crans Montana fire case continues

Jean-Claude Savoy, the former president of Chermignon in Valais, appeared again yesterday before prosecutors investigating the Constellation bar fire in Crans-Montana

It is his third hearing — he refused to answer in May, then cooperated in July, and did so again today in front of some thirty lawyers.

Manager Jacques Moretti is now in pre-trial detention on suspicion of violence against his wife, and faces confrontation hearings in November and December.

Seventeen people are accused in all, each charged with manslaughter, bodily harm and arson through negligence in a fire that killed 41 people and injured 115.
