Swiss business leaders are hailing the success of the visit by Federal Councillors, Karin Keller-Sutter and Guy Parmelin to Washington.

The head of Swissmem, the engineering industry organisation, Martin Hirzel, says he’s enthusiastic after the talks and praises the ministers for seemingly finding the right tone to discuss the issue with the Americans.
He says the announced 31% tariff on Switzerland will not actually come into force – which he says would be ‘devastating.’
He says this country should be more vocal about the level of investment it makes in the US.
