The government is warning of a dangerous malware that’s masquerading as official information, but will steal all your login details – including passwords.
It seemingly comes from the federal government about the AGOV log -in service. That allows users only to log in once for all federal and cantonal websites – such as submitting your tax.
The Federal Office for Cyber Security says the emails tell people that AGOV is now available as a desktop application, but this is wrong. It’s only a phone app.
It invites people to download the software – but that is the malware. The most vulnerable are those using newer Mac machines.
If you get an email about the AGOV system, delete it.
