A driver caught speeding on the A40 autoroute in France admitted to police that he’s an idiot.

Just after midnight on Sunday, a 26-year-old man heading home to Lausanne was clocked at 258 kph. He was stopped at the Viry péage.

He told police he was in a hurry to get home – and admitted he was an idiot. His licence was taken away on the spot and his Audi RS3 was impounded.

The police tweeted an image of the car and called the speed extremely dangerous. They also tagged it, Fast and Furious.
