Disruptions are expected for cross-border workers ahead of the G7 summit in Evian next month, with travel between France and Switzerland set to become more complicated.
From June 11, around 1,400 commuters who normally take the ferry from Evian to Lausanne will need to depart from alternative locations, after French authorities restricted access to the town during the summit.
A special pass will also be required to drive through Evian, with officials warning that obtaining it could take time.
Employers in Vaud and Geneva are being urged to plan ahead, as delays and staff shortages are likely during the summit period.
