A gun shop owner in canton Aargau has been acquitted of attempted murder charges after he opened fire on a gang trying to rob him.
Prosecutors say the man didn’t have to open fire, but could have stayed in the upstairs apartment. The shop owner says he didn’t want the guns to end up on the black market.
Judges agreed it was self-defence and a firearm was an acceptable weapon to use.
The gang fired several rounds towards the shop owner.
