A series of street names in Geneva start changing their names from today.
The idea is to better recognise the role of women and their contribution to Geneva.
In many cases the names changes will apply to sections of existing roads.
Over the next few weeks, the new name plates will be installed, but they will also include the old name to avoid confusion.
So, the signs will list the former name.
Official maps – including Google Maps, will show the new names from May 20th.
