The head of the Swiss Federal Intelligence Service says Geneva is the centre of Russian espionage activity in the country and the risks of a cyber-attack from Russia is high.
Spy chief, Christian Dussey, in a newspaper interview says they know there are several dozen Russian spies active in Geneva – based around diplomatic missions.
But there has not been an increased threat since the start of the Ukraine war, he says.
As for the issue of Islamic terrorism, he says that’s still high risk, but the threats are now more diffused and tend to be lone operators and not a coordinated group attack.
