Investigators looking into the New Year’s fire in Crans-Montana are asking Facebook to restore eight accounts linked to the owners, Jacques and Jessica Moretti.
The accounts were deleted just hours after the fire.
It’s thought they may contain information about the bar renovations, including the installation of the sound absorbent foam which is thought to have been the main reason the fire spread so quickly.
Comments from followers may also be relevant in the investigation.
Prosecutors from canton Valais have asked US judicial authorities for assistance in persuading the social media company to release the information.
