The final covid mask requirement in Geneva will fall at the end of the month.

The Cantonal Health Department says it will no longer be compulsory to wear a mask in hospitals or care homes from May 30th.

The canton says the need is no longer justified.

But wearing a mask will still be recommended.

Mask wearing will still be compulsory in some areas – such as in cancer care units. But that was the case even before the pandemic.
