A man in his fifties has been convicted in Vaud after impersonating a police officer in several towns, including Rolle and Nyon.
Wearing a high-visibility vest and a fake badge, he carried out bogus checks and even stopped a motorcyclist using an invented rule.
The man admitted acting alone, claiming he wanted to help and become a security guard.
He was given a suspended fine after being found guilty of impersonating an official.
