The quantity of illegal drugs seized in Geneva surged by 35% last year, according to new police figures.
Over 860 kilos of substances were seized in 2024 - 200 kilos more than the previous year.
The spike is linked to a Europe-wide influx of cocaine and several major police operations targeting organised criminal networks.
Anti-drug squads also cracked down on street-level dealing as part of the Crack Plan, which saw increased patrols and specialist resources deployed.
Cocaine seizures rose by 46%, while ecstasy increased eightfold. Synthetic cannabinoids and hallucinogens also surged.
The judicial police say the drug market is increasingly dominated by synthetic substances.
