Plans to bring in free public transport for the under 25s and reduced rates for pensioners will likely go ahead – despite legal action from some against the plans.
Those opposed to the move believe it’s discriminatory and unfair. They tried to persuade the courts to suspend the plans until a full case can be heard.
Judges refused, so the new fares will come into effect from January.
