You’ve probably noticed your morning coffee has become more expensive over the last year – and prices are still set to rise further.
It’s basic supply and demand – poor harvests in Brazil and Vietnam and climbing demand in China means prices are higher.
Current coffee stocks mean the price rises can be delayed before it affects cafés – but prices are up almost 4% this year and traders expect more rises to come.
It’s expected further price rises will start to hit the street level cafes in the next few weeks.
