A fire broke out inside a church in Le Sentier in canton Vaud, with a suspect now identified.
Police say a Bible near the altar caught fire early Sunday morning.
The pastor managed to extinguish the flames before firefighters arrived, but was taken to hospital after inhaling smoke and has since been released.
The blaze caused damage inside the building, and a 31-year-old Swiss woman from the region is being questioned.
An investigation is now underway.
