Bern police used a rubber bullet and a taser to arrest a man who was smashing car windows with an axe.
He threatened police with the axe and a knife when confronted. He failed to back down even when an officer pulled his gun.
The 51-year-old was first knocked back with a rubber bullet and then tasered before being handcuffed.
A woman with him was also arrested. The police say the man’s psychological condition is being assessed.
