Bern police ready for trouble ahead of biker verdict

Authorities in the city of Bern are preparing for a verdict in the so called ‘biker war’ case, due on Thursday.

In all 22 are in court charged with various offences from attempted murder to assault following a turf war in the town of Belp in 2019. 

One who fired a shotgun is already serving a prison sentence. 

Police have already battled the two biker gangs on the streets when the trial got underway. 

Police say there will a strong presence outside the court to try to keep the rivals at bay. There are hopes ordinary people will be unaffected.
