A woman on the autoroute in neighbouring France tried to get out of a fine by telling the police she was about to give birth.
She had been caught in a jam caused by protesting farmers on the A41 just outside Annecy. She used the shoulder to get past the line of cars. She told the Gendarmerie she as about to give birth.
But she wasn’t – and was fined.
