Births are rising again in Geneva after two years of decline.
Just over 5,000 babies were born in the canton last year, pushing annual births back above the 5,000 mark for the first time since 2022.
The fertility rate also edged up to 1.27 children per woman from a forty-year low of 1.22 the previous year.
Despite the increase, officials say birth rates remain historically low.
