Which cantons are the best for school summer holidays?

A study by the 20 minutes newspaper shows there are significant differences. 

Kids in canton Ticino have already had a week off – Geneva’s holidays start today and Vaud at the end of the week.

The times off ranges from 7 weeks to 5 weeks. But Ticino is an outlier at 10 weeks. 

Lengths of summer holiday are based on geography and history, but the longer breaks are mainly focussed on southern areas – for the simple reason of the heat. It’s considered too hot to have the children in class.
