The president Guy Parmelin says the unvaccinated must expect their freedoms to be curtailed for a long time to come.
In an interview with yesterday’s SonntagsZeitung, Parmelin says those who have been vaccinated can’t be deprived of their liberties just because of some hold-outs.
On Friday the government says it would like to see a move to the so called 2G rules, which will only let those with a health pass access to many activities – a negative test will not be sufficient.
Those potential new rules have now gone to the cantons for consultation.
But the government says it may act more quickly if the situation continues to worsen.
Parmelin says the only way to stop the current wave is to vaccinate and boost.
