Bern says it’s not able to repatriate thousands of Swiss citizens who are either resident in the middle east - or stranded as their flights have been cancelled.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says as the airspace is closed, there’s no way to get people out.
But the government is offering assurances that it’s doing everything that it can - and it realizes that the situation is very stressful for those concerned.
