Newly unemployed Uber drivers in Geneva are trying to get answers and guidance about what they should do next after a ruling by the Federal Court that they are employees of the US company and not independent.

Uber has been stopped from operating in the canton until it pays back social security fees  - likely to be more than CHF 21m.

The drivers demonstrated outside the cantonal Department of the Economy yesterday afternoon wanting answers. But they complain the canton says they have to talk to Uber about their situation, but Uber says they need to talk to the canton.
