Think of another vaccine

There’s another vaccine we should be getting – that against tick-borne meningoencephalitis or FSME.

The active period for ticks this year is likely to be longer due to the current humidity – conditions they love.

A tick expert, Werner Tischhauser, from the University of Applied Science in Zurich says the weather means ticks will be highly active right up until August.

The bugs transmit a variety of diseases and it’s best to get vaccinated say experts.

It’s safe to get an FSME vaccine even if you have recently had a Covid jab.
