A teenager has been arrested by police investigating a series of fires in the Geneva district of Vernier.
The 16-year-old was detained last week. Reports in the Tribune de Genève suggest his home was searched.
There were several fires in July in Vernier. Mainly rubbish containers. But the most serious was a blaze at a school. The cladding on the building caught fire – the city’s fire service said at the time they had never battled such a fierce blaze.
There was also another school fire in Meyrin last month.
Prosecutors are not commenting on the case.
