Switzerland is the richest country in the world, according to a new study by UBS.
The UBS Global Wealth Report says the average per capita wealth is CHF 561,000 - a rise of 3% compared to last year – mainly due to the rise in property prices.
The Swiss figures buck the trend in Western Europe, where wealth is down 1.5%.
The United States is the second richest country and became notably richer last year with asset prices up 11%.
But the region with the highest growth rate last year was Eastern Europe – with an average asset growth of 12%.
