Swisscom suffered another embarrassing failure yesterday afternoon.
The telecom giant has had a series of problems over the past few months. One outage even affected emergency calls in July. That triggered a parliamentary inquiry.
Swisscom says yesterday fault affected the Zurich area – but downdetector websites suggested problems were more widespread, including in Geneva and Bern.
The problems were short-lived – around 10 minutes. Swisscom says it was caused by hardware failures and unconnected with previous problems.
