Around 300 people gathered at Geneva Airport to welcome home nine Swiss activists from the Gaza flotilla yesterday.
Supporters waved signs and chanted in solidarity as the group arrived. Among them was former Geneva mayor Rémy Pagani, who thanked the crowd, saying the activists had been “treated like animals” while detained in Israel.
All 19 members of the Swiss flotilla have now been deported, with the first returning through Zurich on Saturday.
