Switzerland and Germany have pledged to work together to help with energy supply.
Meeting at the World Economic Forum’s gathering in Davos, Federal Councillors Simonetta Sommaruga and Guy Parmelin spoke with the German economics minister, Robert Habeck.
The two countries agreed to share electricity supply – Switzerland has a significant hydro-electric capability. Germany says it will agree to share gas supplies.
Talks were also held on the issue of arms supplies to Ukraine. Germany has military equipment it would like to send - but some Swiss components prevent the transfer.
