A rockfall near Chamonix in neighbouring France has killed two and injured two others.
The four people were in a car on the Route Nationale 205 when the landslide hit. The two passengers in the back seat died.
The rocks crashed down at about 6pm last night. The road has been closed – causing major disruption.
The Mont-Blanc tunnel is closed to trucks while other vehicles must make a detour.
