Despite the cost of sending letters and parcels going up, the Post Office is still cutting jobs. 110 have already gone and the company says another 70 will have to go.
The organisation says it has to save more than CHF 40m in the next two years.
Digitisation is the main problem. We’re sending fewer letters and not using the Post Office to pay our bills.
The job losses will come from back office and managerial positions. Those working in distribution will be safe.
Another 100 workers may see their pay and hours cut.
