Patek Philippe warns staff to be careful after blast

The watch maker, Patek Philippe, is warning its employees to be careful after a second explosion seems to have targeted its staff.

A 12-year-old girl was seriously injured in the second blast in Grange-Canal on Monday afternoon. She underwent several hours of abdominal surgery.

Police have linked the explosion with the one in August in the Saint-Jean district. Both residents are employed by Patek Philippe. But the motive remains unclear, but the press is pointing out the company has been hit with claims of harassment and bullying in the last few years.

The company has not issued a statement to the press, but an internal memo says the Board of Directors is in shock and the safety of the staff is a priority.

The incident is being investigated by federal authorities.
