Patek Philippe paid part of bomber's ransom

It’s been revealed the watch maker, Patek Philippe, paid some of the ransom money demanded by a man who had been planting bombs, terrorizing the local community and employees of the company.

He had been asking for as much as CHF 24m. The company paid USD 600,000 in crypto – but mainly as a lure.

The man was filmed withdrawing money from an ATM that dealt in crypto currencies.

The rest of the money was found on USB sticks in the man’s apartment when he was arrested.
