Thousands of Geneva civil servants took to the streets yesterday afternoon, fighting budget cuts.
Around 2,500 teachers, healthcare workers, and social service staff marched against pay freezes, pension cuts, and staff shortages.
The canton says it needs to save CHF 740m, but workers say it unfairly punishes them with lower pay and high workloads.
The strikers have voted to continue their action, with a half-day strike planned for December 11th.
