In other votes around the country.

The canton of Bern is now constitutionally committed to a policy of zero greenhouse emissions by 2050. The new clause was backed by 64% of voters.

Canton Uri says no to voting rights for those 16 years and older. The move would have allowed teens to vote on local issues - but would not have allowed them to be elected.

Only Glarus allow 16-year-old voting.

And foreigners will not be allowed to vote in canton Solothurn. Despite it having the backing from the cantonal government, 73% rejected it.

Eight cantons give non-Swiss the vote in some circumstances.
