Police in Lausanne had to use pepper spray to keep pro-Palestinian activists at bay during a basketball match on Saturday evening.
The Swiss under 19 team were playing Israel in a World Cup game.
The protestors pushed up against barriers which were being guarded by police in riot gear.
They chanted that Switzerland was an accomplice to genocide and shouted abuse at match goers entering the stadium.
