A Geneva police officer is under investigation for discharging his service weapon seven times within the Carl-Vogt police station last Friday evening.
The Tribune de Genève says it understands the shots were aimed at a rubbish bin – but a fellow officer was hit and injured by a ricochet.
Reports say the officer is an inspector with the drugs squad – and was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
He could face charges of endangering lives, bodily harm by negligence and not allowing measures to check his ability to drive.
