Two men have been arrested for attacking and blackmailing several homosexual men at public toilets on the A9 autoroute over a two-year period.
The men are alleged to have posed as homosexuals in the toilets and then assaulted men who approached them and demanded cash not to file a police complaint. It’s reported at least one man paid them CHF 7,000.
Prosecutors say the men, aged 23 and 24, focused their attacks at the Ardon stop on the A9.
They’re being charged with assault, theft and extortion as well as incitement to hatred.
The law allows the men to be charged without alleged victims filing specific charges.
